Cantina Sampietrana is located in the historic centre of San Pietro Vernotico a little village in between Brindisi and Lecce, on a surface of 8000 mq, was built by the railway, the only transport system existing in those years, since then we remain honest to our true traditions, as well as adapting to the challenges and opportunities of the global market. Every year by working on new technology, quality and service we increased our world market presence.
For over half a century much of the growing has been devoted to cultivating the Alberello Pugliese, a regional speciality devoted to producing the authoctonus grapes Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia, other non-native varieties are also produced: Montepulciano, Cabernet and Chardonnay Apulia is known for suitable climate for growing grapes , the vineyards of the members are spread over 190 hectares of fertile soil, crafting unique wines in a style that centers on a great body, elegance and complexity.
