A blend of predominantly Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, from Alianca’s 360 hectare Quinta d’Aguiar property in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo in Beiras. 80 hectares are now planted with these varieties, in schist soils. Fermentation and ageing takes place in stainless steel.
Aromas of ripe bramble fruit, plum and a touch of spice. Generous on the palate with fresh red cherry and blackberry leaf characters – supple, fine tannins and a touch of spice on the juicy finish.
Serve with full-flavoured meaty stews, bangers and mash or barbecued meats.
