Wine Heaven: Northern Rhone reds especially Cote Rotie (also herbaceous elegant Syrahs from New Zealand), Northern Italian reds, New Zealand Pinot Noir, quality Malbec. Well balanced oaked whites made from Chardonnay, Rhone grapes, Verdicchio, Semillon etc. Italian dessert wines such as Soave Recioto & Vin Santo.
Wine Hell: Fruity blockbusters, underperforming & expensive Pinot Noirs.
Spirit Heaven: Cognac, Armagnac & Whisky.
Spirit Hell: Grappa that momentarily paralyses your neck, much Spanish Brandy.
Favourite Food: Spanish Tapas, spicy food especially Moroccan & Indian, European peasant food that big on beans, home made pizza, dim sum and roast chicken. |
