The apricot, musk and orange blossom aromas of this wine are complimented by a hint of vanilla from the barrel. Subtle oak continues to influence the palate combined with a soft acidity. The palate is full bodied with sweet fruit flavours of pear and apricot.
This 2014 Viognier was from sourced from our Tantallon vineyard. Tantallon is the warmest of our Hawkes Bay vineyards.
The individual pickings of Viognier were pressed and fermented at our Riverview winery. Approximately 35% went to barrel for fermentation and maturation. After 12 months in barrel and tank the wine was blended, with bottling in July 2015.
