Inspired by the quality of the wines produced by their neighbour Romano dal Forno, the seven brothers and cousins who own Latium Morini decided not to sell the grapes from their best blocks to the local Cantina Sociale as they, and their fathers, had done for years but to make wine from them themselves. Since their first vintage in 2004 the torrent of accolades; including an IWC Gold for their Amarone and high ratings from Jancis Robinson; would suggest that they made the right decision. Now firmly established at the forefront of the new wave of quality modern producers of Soave, Valpolicella and Amarone the wines combine beautiful fruit concentration with fresh, bright acidity that makes a second glass (or bottle) almost impossible to resist.
