Named after the producer’s eldest daughter, Skye, this wine has been made from the finest Chardonnay grapes grown on Hush Heath’s 40 acres of vineyards in the heart of the Garden of England.
The wine is fermented at a fairly low temperature (14-16°C) in stainless steel tanks for an aromatic, fresh style. Extended lees ageing has created wonderful richness and body.
Brilliant white gold with attractive green highlights.
Very clean with notes of citrus, thyme and pineapple.
A lively acidity is balanced by rich, ripe grapefruit, citrus and apple flavours. It is a wine with fantastic length, finishing with those salty and herby notes characteristic of the Hush Heath style.
