This wine is only produced in the very best years and is extraordinarily elegant, complex and long.
Heredad Ugarte’s 2006 Martin Cendoya Seleccion Reserva is a blend of 80% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano, and 5% Mazuelo sourced from 100+ year old vines and aged in oak for 14 months. It reveals an alluring nose of lavender, incense, smoke, mineral, and black cherry. On the palate it is layered, opulent, and satin-textured with enough underlying structure to evolve for another 3-5 years. This impeccably balanced wine will be at its best from 2013 to 2026.
