Obtained from selected Negroamaro grapes, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, ruby red with violet tones, intense nose of ripe red berry fruits with a hint of vanilla and toasted notes. It is a dry, warm and velvety wine. Pairs perfectly with complex dishes, roasted meats, poultry and game recipes and strong cheeses.
Cantina Sampietrana is located in the historic centre of San Pietro Vernotico a little village in between Brindisi and Lecce, on a surface of 8000 mq, was built by the railway, the only transport system existing in those years, since then we remain honest to our true traditions, as well as adapting to the challenges and opportunities of the global market. For over half a century much of the growing has been devoted to cultivating the Alberello Pugliese, a regional speciality devoted to producing the authoctonus grapes Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia, other non-native varieties are also produced: Montepulciano, Cabernet and Chardonnay Apulia is known for suitable climate for growing grapes , the vineyards of the members are spread over 190 hectares of fertile soil, crafting unique wines in a style that centers on a great body, elegance and complexity.
