They are made alongside the Willunga 100 wines in McLaren Vale, and benefit from the same input from Tim James. The Shiraz is deep coloured and bursting with the sort of ripe yet freshly aromatic fruit that McLaren Vale can yield if the grapes are picked on time. It has lovely richness on the palate, good structure and a seriousness and depth that belies its modest price.
This deep coloured Shiraz is youthful and vibrant, with a lovely dark fruit and spiced plum character on the nose. The oak supports rather than masks the fruit, which is bright and lively yet plush and fleshy on the palate. The tannins are ripe and silky, giving the wine a texture that is unusual at this price.
