We're in good spirits today as we've just received positive news regarding our future expansion plans. We don't want to tempt fate but it looks as though the local authority may soon grant us permission to sell all forms of alcohol. Hopefully they will and then we can add an exciting range of armagnacs, cognacs, whiskies, spirits and beers to our already formidable wine line up.

If permission is received we plan to change the layout of our premises and make the upstairs area into a more conventional shop as opposed to the slightly confusing shop/office we have present. This new section will feature our everyday wine range, our new beer range and any promotional offers we are running. Which means that we'll have even more room downstairs for the finer wines and a little surprise that we're working on.

Anyway, we'd like to celebrate this good news by offering 10% off any wine bought  today (Friday 21st) or tomorrow (Saturday 22nd) and 15% off any case of 12.

Last week we mentioned out 2 forthcoming events and in our currently expansive mood we'd like to tell you more about them.

RAATS WINEMAKER'S DINNER AT DOVESTONS - Thursday October 4th - £ 45

The evening is £ 45 all inclusive and great value for such distinctive food and wine presented by a world class winemaker.

We've now finalised our menu for the evening and I've also managed to dig out a photo of the man in question (don't worry! he'll be clean shaven and less scary looking on the night). The menu is our modern take on traditional South African fare and is as follows (Wines are in burgundy and the prices are retail)

BON CAP WINERY TASTING - Thursday October 11th - £ 5

I've just spoken to Michelle from Bon Cap and she's given me the rundown of the wines that she'd like to present. She's going to show us 9 of her wines and - as a nice bonus - a great Sauvignon Blanc made by one of her friends in Robertson. Here's the list of wines we'll be tasting and I should point out that all Michelle's wines are organic - so you can save the planet whilst you're tasting. We've already sold almost half the tickets so please let us know if you'd like to attend.
